1 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding 401 IAC 1.6(6) and any contrary
1 2 provisions of chapter 123, prohibiting the use and consumption
1 3 of alcoholic beverages in public places, alcoholic beverages
1 4 may be used and consumed within the State Capitol at a social
1 5 event, to be held between August 29 and September 1, 1999,
1 6 hosted and organized in whole or in part by the National
1 7 Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators if the person
1 8 providing the food and alcoholic beverages at the social event
1 9 possesses an appropriate valid liquor control license. For
1 10 the purpose of this section and section 123.95, the State
1 11 Capitol is a private place.
1 12 EXPLANATION
1 13 This joint resolution authorizes the National Association
1 14 of Unclaimed Property Administrators to use and consume
1 15 alcoholic beverages at a social event to be held at the State
1 16 Capitol between August 29 and September 1, 1999. Current law
1 17 and rules prohibit the use and consumption of alcoholic
1 18 beverages within the State Capitol.
