1 1 Section 1. Section 558.69, Code 1999, is repealed.
1 2 EXPLANATION
1 3 This bill relates to reporting requirements for real estate
1 4 conveyances. Currently, each declaration of value submitted
1 5 to the county recorder must include a statement identifying
1 6 any known wells, any known disposal sites for solid waste, any
1 7 known underground storage tanks, and any known hazardous
1 8 waste. If a declaration of value is not required, the
1 9 information must be submitted on a separate form to the county
1 10 recorder. The owner of the property is responsible for the
1 11 accuracy of the information submitted. The bill repeals these
1 12 reporting requirements.
