1 1 Section 1. There is appropriated from the rebuild Iowa
1 2 infrastructure fund to the department of agriculture and land
1 3 stewardship for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000, and
1 4 ending June 30, 2001, the following amount, or so much thereof
1 5 as is necessary, to be used for the purpose designated,
1 6 notwithstanding section 8.57, subsection 5, paragraph "c":
1 7 To initiate a statewide farm and livestock management
1 8 program to demonstrate the effectiveness and adaptability of
1 9 emerging agricultural systems for nutrient and pesticide
1 10 management, air quality protection, and protection of soil and
1 11 water resources:

1 13 EXPLANATION
1 14 This bill appropriates funds from the rebuild Iowa
1 15 infrastructure fund to the department of agriculture and land
1 16 stewardship to initiate a statewide farm and livestock
1 17 management program to demonstrate the effectiveness and
1 18 adaptability of emerging agricultural systems for certain
1 19 functions.
