1 1 Section 1. There is appropriated from the rebuild Iowa
1 2 infrastructure fund to the department of agriculture and land
1 3 stewardship for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000, and
1 4 ending June 30, 2001, the following amount, or so much thereof
1 5 as is necessary, to be used for the purpose designated,
1 6 notwithstanding section 8.57, subsection 5, paragraph "c":
1 7 To implement a conservation reserve enhanced program in the
1 8 tile-drained prairie pothole region of the state to restore
1 9 and construct wetlands for the purpose of intercepting tile
1 10 line runoff and reducing nutrient loss into rivers and
1 11 streams:

1 13 EXPLANATION
1 14 This bill appropriates funds from the rebuild Iowa
1 15 infrastructure fund to the department of agriculture and land
1 16 stewardship to implement a conservation reserve enhanced
1 17 program to restore and construct wetlands for the purpose of
1 18 intercepting tile line runoff and reducing nutrient loss into
1 19 rivers and streams.
