Page 5, by striking lines 5 through 23 and 1 5 inserting the following: 1 6 "Sec. . Section 283A.2, subsection 3, paragraph 1 7 b, unnumbered paragraph 1, and paragraph c, as enacted 1 8 by 1999 Iowa Acts, chapter 147, section 1, are amended 1 9 to read as follows: 1 10 The board of directors of a school district that 1 11 wishes to provide safe, reasonable student access to a 1 12 school breakfast program, rather than operate or 1 13 provide for the operation of a school breakfast 1 14 program at a specific attendance center within the 1 15 school district shall develop an alternative site plan 1 16 to operate the school breakfast program at another 1 17 attendance center or other site within the school 1 18 district and shall annually certify to the department 1 19 that the plan meets the following criteria: 1 20 c. The board of directors of a school district 1 21 that wishes to provide access to a school breakfast 1 22 program in accordance with paragraph "b", shall notify 1 23 the parent, guardian, or legal or actual custodian of 1 24 a child enrolled in the district of the school 1 25 district's intention to develop and implement a plan 1 26 to provide school breakfast programsonly in certain1 27attendance centersat an alternative site. At any 1 28 time in which the school district proposes to make 1 29 substantive changes to a plan certified with the 1 30 department of education, the notification requirements 1 31 of this paragraph shall apply." 1 32 #3.
