1 2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
1 3 #1. By striking everything after the enacting
1 4 clause and inserting the following:
1 5 "Section 1. INTERIM STUDY ON FUNDING OF THE OFFICE
1 6 OF COUNTY SHERIFF. The legislative council is
1 7 requested to establish an interim study committee to
1 8 study all aspects of the funding of law enforcement
1 9 and related services of the office of county sheriff.
1 10 The study shall include an analysis of the fiscal
1 11 impacts of services provided by the office of county
1 12 sheriff on incorporated areas and the unincorporated
1 13 areas of the county. The findings and recommendations
1 14 of the study committee shall be reported to the
1 15 legislative council and the general assembly not later
1 16 than January 15, 2001."
1 17 #2. Title page, by striking lines 1 through 3 and
1 18 inserting the following: "An Act requesting an
1 19 interim study of the funding of the office of county
1 20 sheriff."
