  1  1    Amend Senate File 2267 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by striking line 21 and inserting the
  1  3 following:   "administers a valid and reliable
  1  4 assessment of student progress, who".
  1  5    #2.  Page 1, line 23, by striking the word "test"
  1  6 and inserting the following:  "assessment".
  1  7    #3.  Page 1, by striking lines 26 through 30 and
  1  8 inserting the following:  "The board of directors of
  1  9 each school district shall enter into a compact with
  1 10 the parents and guardians of the students enrolled in
  1 11 the district by adopting a school promotion policy
  1 12 that facilitates collaborations among teachers,
  1 13 parents and guardians of the students, and the school
  1 14 district to support student reading and mathematics
  1 15 proficiency.  By the first day of school, the school
  1 16 district".
  1 17    #4.  Page 2, lines 2 and 3, by striking the words
  1 18 "standardized basic educational skills test" and
  1 19 inserting the following:  "valid and reliable
  1 20 assessment of student progress".

  1 39 of this section, shall not be limited to a
  1 40 commercially developed measurement."
  1 41    #11.  Title page, by striking line 2 and inserting
  1 42 the following:  "enter into a compact with parents and
