1 1 Amend Senate File 2302 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 5, by inserting after line 2, the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. ____. Section 144.36, subsection 4, Code
1 5 Supplement 1999, is amended to read as follows:
1 6 4. The county registrar shall record and forward
1 7 to the state registrar on or before the tenth day of
1 8 each calendar month the original certificates of
1 9 marriages filed with the county registrar during the
1 10 preceding calendar month and the fees collected by the
1 11 county registrar on behalf of the state for
1 12 applications for a license to marry in accordance with
1 13 section 331.605, subsection 6, and for certified
1 14 copies of the original certificates of marriage to be
1 15 issued by the state registrar pursuant to section
1 16 595.16A."
1 17 #2. Page 9, by inserting after line 6, the
1 18 following:
1 19 "Sec. . Section 331.605, Code Supplement 1999,
1 20 is amended by adding the following new subsection:
1 21 NEW SUBSECTION. 6A. A state fee of four dollars
1 22 for a copy of the original certificate of marriage
1 23 issued to the parties to a marriage by the state
1 24 registrar pursuant to section 595.16A.
1 25 Sec. . NEW SECTION. 595.4A CERTIFIED COPY OF
1 26 ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE OF MARRIAGE.
1 27 In addition to any other fees paid by the parties
1 28 at the time of application for a license to marry, the
1 29 parties shall also pay a state fee of four dollars,
1 30 pursuant to section 331.605, for a certified copy of
1 31 the original certificate of marriage to be issued to
1 32 the parties by the state registrar pursuant to section
1 33 595.16A."
1 34 #3. Page 9, by inserting after line 15, the
1 35 following:
1 36 "Sec. . NEW SECTION. 595.16A. ISSUANCE OF
1 37 CERTIFIED COPY OF CERTIFICATE OF MARRIAGE.
1 38 Following receipt of the original certificate of
1 39 marriage from the county registrar pursuant to section
1 40 144.36, the state registrar shall issue a certified
1 41 copy of the original certificate of marriage to the
1 42 parties to the marriage, if the fee prescribed
1 43 pursuant to section 331.605 for such a certified copy
1 44 is paid to the county registrar at the time of
1 45 application for a license to marry pursuant to section
1 46 595.4A."
