  1  1    Amend Senate File 2092, as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 4, by inserting after line 7, the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 80.17, subsection 7, Code 1999,
  1  5 is amended to read as follows:
  1  6    7.  Division of capitol security police.
  1  7    Sec.    .  Section 80.35, Code 1999, is amended to
  1  8 read as follows:
  1  9    80.35  TRANSITION.
  1 10    Persons employed by the department of general
  1 11 services as capitol security force officers shall be
  1 12 transferred to the division of capitol security of the
  1 13 department of public safety on July 1, 1976.  Persons
  1 14 transferred pursuant to this section shall retain
  1 15 their positions as capitol security police officers,
  1 16 shall not be subject to the requirements and
  1 17 conditions of section 80.15, and shall remain under
  1 18 the Iowa public employees' retirement system.  Persons
  1 19 employed after July 1, 1976 by the department of
  1 20 public safety as capitol security police officers
  1 21 within the division of capitol security police shall
  1 22 be subject to the requirements and conditions of
  1 23 section 80.15, except those requirements relating to
  1 24 age, and shall be subject to the Iowa public
  1 25 employees' retirement system.  The minimum age for
  1 26 persons employed by the division of capitol security
  1 27 police shall be eighteen."
