  1  1    Amend Senate File 480 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 9, by inserting after line 32 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  IOWA LAW ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY.  There is
  1  5 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
  1  6 Iowa law enforcement academy for the fiscal year
  1  7 beginning July 1, 1999, and ending June 30, 2000, the
  1  8 following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary,
  1  9 to be used for the purposes designated:
  1 10    For salaries, support, maintenance, and
  1 11 miscellaneous purposes to provide statewide
  1 12 coordination of the drug abuse resistance education
  1 13 (D.A.R.E.) program:  
  1 14 .................................................. $     80,000"
  1 15    #2.  Page 12, by inserting after line 22 the
  1 16 following:
  1 17    "Sec.    .  RUNAWAY TREATMENT.  There is
  1 18 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
  1 19 department of human services for the fiscal year
  1 20 beginning July 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999, the
  1 21 following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary,
  1 22 to be used for the purpose designated:
  1 23    For a grant to a county with a population between
  1 24 168,000 and 175,000 for implementation of the county's
  1 25 runaway treatment plan under section 232.195:  
  1 26 .................................................. $     80,000
  1 27    The grant shall be administered by the county's
  1 28 board of supervisors in consultation with the local
  1 29 runaway and treatment task force.  Notwithstanding
  1 30 section 8.33, moneys appropriated in this section
  1 31 which remain unobligated or unexpended at the close of
  1 32 the fiscal year shall not revert but shall remain
  1 33 available to be used for the purpose designated in the
  1 34 succeeding fiscal year."
  1 35    #3.  Page 12, by inserting after line 26 the
  1 36 following:
  1 37    "Sec.    .  Section 137F.1, subsection 8, paragraph
  1 38 f, Code 1999, is amended by striking the paragraph and
  1 39 inserting in lieu thereof the following:
  1 40    f.  Premises of a residence in which food that is
  1 41 nonpotentially hazardous is sold for consumption off
  1 42 the premises to a consumer customer, if the food is
  1 43 labeled to identify the name and address of the person
  1 44 preparing the food and the common name of the food.
  1 45    Sec.    .  Section 137F.2, subsection 6, Code 1999,
  1 46 is amended to read as follows:
  1 47    6.  3-201.11(B) shall be amended to allow food
  1 48 prepared by a home food establishment licensed under
  1 49 chapter 137D or by an operation specified under
  1 50 section 137F.1, subsection 8, paragraph "f", to be
  2  1 used or offered for sale.
  2  2    Sec.    .  Section 137F.2, Code 1999, is amended by
  2  3 adding the following new subsection:
  2  4    NEW SUBSECTION.  12.  3-201.16(B) shall be amended
  2  5 to exclude wild morel mushrooms.
  2  6    Sec.    .  Section 137F.2, Code 1999, is amended by
  2  7 adding the following new subsection:
  2  8    NEW SUBSECTION.  13.  3-501.17 shall be amended to
  2  9 provide that paragraphs (C) and (D) shall not apply to
  2 10 aged cheese.
  2 11    Sec.    .  Section 137F.2, Code 1999, is amended by
  2 12 adding the following new subsection:
  2 13    NEW SUBSECTION.  14.  3-603.11 shall be amended so
  2 14 that the rule shall not apply to whole muscle red
  2 15 meats."
  2 16    #4.  Page 13, by inserting after line 10 the
  2 17 following:
  2 18    "Sec.    .  Section 232.52, subsection 2, paragraph
  2 19 a, subparagraph (4), Code 1999, is amended by adding
  2 20 the following new subparagraph subdivisions:
  2 21    NEW SUBPARAGRAPH SUBDIVISION.  (g)  Section 708.1,
  2 22 if the assault is committed upon an employee of the
  2 23 school at which the child is enrolled, and the child
  2 24 intended to inflict serious injury upon the school
  2 25 employee or caused bodily injury or mental illness.
  2 26    NEW SUBPARAGRAPH SUBDIVISION.  (h)  Section 724.4,
  2 27 if the child carried the dangerous weapon on school
  2 28 grounds.
  2 29    NEW SUBPARAGRAPH SUBDIVISION.  (i)  Section 724.4B.
  2 30    Sec.    .  Section 484B.4, subsection 2, paragraph
  2 31 c, Code 1999, is amended by striking the paragraph.
  2 32    Sec.    .  Section 490A.1504, Code 1999, is amended
  2 33 to read as follows:
  2 34    490A.1504  WHO MAY ORGANIZE.
  2 35    Two One or more individuals having capacity to
  2 36 contract, each of whom is and licensed to practice a
  2 37 profession in this state in which the professional
  2 38 limited liability company is to be authorized to
  2 39 practice, may act as organizers of organize a
  2 40 professional limited liability company.
  2 41    Sec.    .  Section 514I.5, subsection 7, paragraph
  2 42 d, Code 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  2 43    d.  Develop, with the assistance of the department,
  2 44 an outreach plan for implementation by the
  2 45 administrative contractor, and provide for periodic
  2 46 assessment of the effectiveness of the outreach plan.
  2 47 The plan shall provide outreach to families of
  2 48 children likely to be eligible for assistance under
  2 49 the program or for other health insurance coverage or
  2 50 care programs, to inform them of the availability of
  3  1 and to assist the families in enrolling children in
  3  2 the program.  The outreach efforts shall may include,
  3  3 but are not limited to, a comprehensive statewide
  3  4 media campaign, solicitation of cooperation from
  3  5 programs, agencies, and other persons who are likely
  3  6 to have contact with eligible children, including but
  3  7 not limited to those associated with the educational
  3  8 system, and the development of community plans for
  3  9 outreach and marketing.
  3 10    Sec.    .  Section 514I.7, subsection 2, paragraph
  3 11 a, Code 1999, is amended by striking the paragraph."
  3 12    Sec.    .  The general assembly shall enact
  3 13 legislation no later than March 1, 2000, to address
  3 14 alternative high school program funding as provided
  3 15 under section 257.11.  The general assembly's interim
  3 16 committee on school finance shall study and make
  3 17 recommendations for funding alternative high school
  3 18 programs offered within a school district, by another
  3 19 school district, or with a community college.  The
  3 20 committee's report shall be forwarded to the members
  3 21 of the general assembly no later than December 1,
  3 22 1999.
  3 23    Sec.    .  Section 137D.9, Code 1999, is repealed."

  3 25 and correcting internal references as necessary.
