PAG LIN 1 1 Amend House File 773, as passed by the House, as 1 2 follows: 1 3 #1. Page 3, by inserting after line 4 the 1 4 following: 1 5 "Sec. . Section 598.21, subsection 5A, 1 6 paragraph a, subparagraph (3), Code 1999, is amended 1 7 to read as follows: 1 8 (3) The child's expected contribution shall be 1 9 deducted from the cost of postsecondary education and 1 10 the court shall apportion responsibility for the 1 11 remaining cost of postsecondary education to each 1 12 parent.TheA rebuttable presumption arises that the 1 13 amount paid byeacha parent or the child shall not 1 14 exceed thirty-three and one-third percent of the total 1 15 cost of postsecondary education. Factors that the 1 16 court shall consider in determining whether the 1 17 presumption has been rebutted shall include all of the 1 18 following: 1 19 (a) The financial resources of each parent. 1 20 (b) The financial resources of the child. 1 21 (c) The health of the child. 1 22 (d) The scholastic aptitude of the child. 1 23 (e) Other factors the court determines to be 1 24 relevant in an individual case." 1 25 #2.
