  1  1    Amend the amendment, S-3479, to House File 656, as
  1  2 passed by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, line 26, by inserting after the word
  1  4 "elections." the following:  "For state primary and
  1  5 general elections and other partisan elections, the
  1  6 polls in a county shall remain open until 9 p.m. if
  1  7 there is filed in the commissioner's office, at least
  1  8 twenty-five days before the election, a petition
  1  9 signed by at least fifty eligible electors of the
  1 10 county requesting that the polls be opened until 9
  1 11 p.m."
