  1  1    Amend House File 760, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 56, by inserting after line 7 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec. 200.  SEXUALLY VIOLENT PREDATORS – FY 1998-
  1  6 1999.  There is appropriated from the general fund of
  1  7 the state to the department of human services for the
  1  8 fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998, and ending June
  1  9 30, 1999, to supplement the appropriation made in 1998
  1 10 Iowa Acts, chapter 1218, section 31, the following
  1 11 amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used
  1 12 for the purposes designated:
  1 13    For costs associated with the commitment and
  1 14 treatment of sexually violent predators and for
  1 15 salaries and support for not more than the following
  1 16 full-time equivalent positions:  
  1 17 ................................................. $     115,023
  1 18 ............................................... FTEs       6.63
  1 19    Notwithstanding section 8.62 or any other provision
  1 20 of law to the contrary, moneys appropriated in this
  1 21 section that remain unencumbered or unobligated at the
  1 22 close of the fiscal year shall revert in accordance
  1 23 with section 8.33."
  1 24    #2.  Page 70, by inserting after line 24 the
  1 25 following:
  1 26    "   .  Section 200, providing a fiscal year 1998-
  1 27 1999 appropriation for costs associated with treatment
  1 28 and commitment of sexually violent predators."
