  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 3, line 5, by striking the figure
  1  4 "50,000" and inserting the following:  "37,000".
  1  5    #2.  Page 4, by inserting after line 7 the
  1  6 following:
  1  7    "If 1999 Iowa Acts, Senate File 276, is enacted,
  1  8 notwithstanding section 505.7, subsection 7, receipts,
  1  9 refunds, and reimbursements generated by the
  1 10 examination function for the fiscal year beginning
  1 11 July 1, 1999, and ending June 30, 2000, may be
  1 12 expended by the division to fund activities required
  1 13 pursuant to 1999 Iowa Acts, Senate File 276, consumer
  1 14 protection, or both activities for the fiscal year
  1 15 beginning July 1, 1999, and ending June 30, 2000."

  1 17 following:
  1 18    "It is the intent of the general assembly that the
  1 19 department of general services shall determine and
  1 20 recommend to the governor and the general assembly a
  1 21 reimbursement amount, if any, to the city of Des
  1 22 Moines for police and fire protection provided by the
  1 23 city for state-owned buildings and facilities located
  1 24 in the city.  The recommendation shall be a cost
  1 25 benefit analysis which shall include the economic
  1 26 benefits to the city derived from the multiplier
  1 27 effect of the salaries of state employees employed in
  1 28 the city and the purchase of goods and services used
  1 29 by state agencies located in the city."

  2 14 lottery shall establish a licensee compliance program
  2 15 for education to enhance their compliance on
  2 16 prohibition of sales to persons under 21 years of age.
  2 17 The education program shall include training,
  2 18 marketing, monitoring, and reporting activities in
  2 19 coordination with lottery licensees.  The results of
  2 20 the program shall be reported to the chairperson, vice
  2 21 chairpersons, ranking members, and members of the
  2 22 joint appropriations subcommittee on administration
  2 23 and regulation not later than January 15, 2000."
  2 24    #17.  Page 24, line 7, by striking the figure

  2 26    #18.  Page 25, line 6, by striking the word

  2 30    "Sec. 101.  DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES.  There
  2 31 is appropriated from the general fund of the state to
  2 32 the department of general services for the fiscal year
  2 33 beginning July 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999, to
  2 34 supplement the appropriations made in 1998 Iowa Acts,
  2 35 chapter 1217, section 5, subsection 4, the following
  2 36 amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used
  2 37 for the purpose designated:
  2 38    RENTAL SPACE
  2 39    For payment of lease or rental costs of buildings
  2 40 and office space at the seat of government as provided
  2 41 in section 18.12, subsection 9, notwithstanding
  2 42 section 18.16:

  2 44    Sec. 102.  GOVERNOR AND LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR.  There
  2 45 is appropriated from the general fund of the state to
  2 46 the offices of the governor and lieutenant governor
  2 47 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998, and ending
  2 48 June 30, 1999, to supplement the appropriations made
  2 49 in 1998 Iowa acts, chapter 1217, section 7, subsection
  2 50 1, the following amount, or so much thereof as is
  3  1 necessary, to be used for the purposes designated:
  3  2    GENERAL OFFICE
  3  3    For salaries, support, maintenance, and
  3  4 miscellaneous purposes, including vacation and leave
  3  5 payout for departing staff, for the general office of
  3  6 the governor and the general office of the lieutenant
  3  7 governor:  
  3  8 ................................................. $    237,000
  3  9 .............................................. FTEs       0.30
  3 10    Of the funds appropriated in this section, not more
  3 11 than $12,000 may be used for the salary, support,
  3 12 maintenance, and miscellaneous purposes, for an
  3 13 administrative assistant for the first lady."
  3 14    #20.  Page 26, by inserting after line 9 the
  3 15 following:
  3 16    "   .  Sections 101 and 102 of this Act, being
  3 17 deemed of immediate importance, take effect upon
  3 18 enactment."
  3 19    #21.  By renumbering, relettering, or redesignating
  3 20 and correcting internal references as necessary.
