1 1 Amend Senate File 470 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 10, by inserting after line 11 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . Section 56.15, Code 1999, is amended by
1 5 adding the following new subsection:
1 6 NEW SUBSECTION. 4A. Solicitation for
1 7 contributions as permitted by this section must also
1 8 comply with the provisions of section 56.15B."
1 9 #2. Page 12, by inserting after line 3 the
1 10 following:
1 11 "5. An employer that permits any solicitation of
1 12 contributions for political committees on the
1 13 employer's property or by any owner, officer,
1 14 director, shareholder, member, or employee of the
1 15 company during working hours of any solicitor owner,
1 16 officer, director, shareholder, member, employee, or
1 17 union official, or during the working hours of any
1 18 solicitee owner, officer, director, shareholder,
1 19 member, employee, or union official shall allow equal
1 20 access for solicitation purposes for contributions to
1 21 any political committee to any owner, officer,
1 22 director, shareholder, member, employee, or union
1 23 official on the employer's property or during any
1 24 hours while employees are working on the premises of
1 25 the employer."
1 26 #3. Page 12, by inserting after line 17 the
1 27 following:
1 28 "Sec. . NEW SECTION. 731.10 SOLICITATION FOR
1 29 CONTRIBUTIONS FOR POLITICAL COMMITTEES.
1 30 A union official shall have the right to solicit
1 31 contributions for political committees on an
1 32 employer's property or during any hours while
1 33 employees are working on the premises of the employer
1 34 pursuant to section 56.15B."
1 35 #4. Title page, line 1, by inserting after the
1 36 word "disclosure" the following: "and contribution
1 37 solicitation, by allowing equal access for certain
1 38 political committee contribution solicitation,".
1 39 #5. By renumbering as necessary.
