  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by striking line 20 and inserting the
  1  4 following:

  1  8    #2.  Page 4, by striking lines 10 and 11 and
  1  9 inserting the following:

  1 12    #3.  Page 6, by inserting after line 19 the
  1 13 following:
  1 14    "Sec.    .  Section 321.11, Code 1999, is amended
  1 15 by adding the following new unnumbered paragraph:
  1 16    NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH.  The department shall not
  1 17 sell personal information which is in the form of a
  1 18 person's photograph or digital image or a digital
  1 19 reproduction of a person's photograph, regardless of
  1 20 whether an individual has elected to prohibit
  1 21 disclosure of the information to the general public.
  1 22 This paragraph does not prohibit the department from
  1 23 collecting reasonable fees for copies of records or
  1 24 other services provided pursuant to section 22.3,
  1 25 321.10, or 622.46."
  1 26    #4.  Page 6, by inserting after line 19 the
  1 27 following:
  1 28    "Sec.    .  HOURS OF SERVICE – STUDY.  The state
  1 29 department of transportation shall conduct a study
  1 30 concerning hours of service for drivers of vehicles
  1 31 operated for hire and designed to transport more than
  1 32 six persons, including the driver.  The study shall
  1 33 not include hours of service for drivers of vehicles
  1 34 offered to the public for hire that are used
  1 35 principally in intracity operation and that are
  1 36 regulated by local authorities pursuant to section
  1 37 321.236.  The department shall report the findings of
  1 38 the study and make recommendations regarding such
  1 39 findings to the general assembly by January 1, 2000."
  1 40    #5.  Page 6, by inserting before line 29 the
  1 41 following:
  1 42    "Sec. ____.  ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY PROGRAM DANGERS –
  1 43 STUDY.  The state department of transportation shall
  1 44 conduct a study regarding the possible dangers of
  1 45 eligible activities which may be conducted by sponsors
  1 46 of the adopt-a-highway program and regarding measures
  1 47 which could prevent or minimize harm to the
  1 48 environment or to an individual participating in such
  1 49 activities.  The department shall submit a report on
  1 50 the results of the study to the general assembly by
  2  1 January 1, 2000."
  2  2    #6.  Page 6, by striking lines 29 through 33 and
  2  3 inserting the following:
  2  4    "Sec.    .  COMMERCIAL TRUCK PARKING – STUDY.  The
  2  5 state department of transportation shall, in
  2  6 consultation with interested parties, review public
  2  7 policy issues related to the state provision of
  2  8 commercial truck parking.  The department shall report
  2  9 its findings and recommendations to the general
  2 10 assembly by January 1, 2000."
  2 11    #7.  Title page, line 5, by striking the words
  2 12 "providing for the use of a former rest area," and
  2 13 inserting the following:  "providing for a commercial
  2 14 truck parking study,".
  2 15    #8.  By renumbering, relettering, or redesignating
  2 16 and correcting internal references as necessary.
