1 1 Amend Senate File 464 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 11, by inserting after line 17 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. 501. ENROLLMENT ADJUSTMENT. For the school
1 5 budget year beginning July 1, 1999, a school district
1 6 participating in an alternative high school program
1 7 offered by a community college, which undercounted its
1 8 weighted enrollment attributable to participation in
1 9 the alternative high school program by 55 or more
1 10 students when determining enrollment pursuant to
1 11 section 257.6 on September 18, 1998, shall be
1 12 authorized to adjust the enrollment count to reflect
1 13 the revised weighted enrollment count in a report
1 14 which shall be submitted to the department within 30
1 15 days after the effective date of this section. The
1 16 department shall forward the report to the department
1 17 of management, which shall adjust the budget
1 18 enrollment for the school district accordingly."
1 19 #2. Page 31, by inserting after line 12 the
1 20 following:
1 21 "___. Section 501 of this Act, relating to
1 22 enrollment adjustment, being deemed of immediate
1 23 importance, takes effect upon enactment."
1 24 #3. By renumbering, relettering, and redesignating
1 25 as necessary.
