  1  1    Amend House File 656, as passed by the House, as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by striking lines 23 and 24, and
  1  4 inserting the following:  "state shall be an eligible
  1  5 elector.  The official shall be a resident of the".
  1  6    #2.  Page 1, line 27, by inserting after the word
  1  7 "exercised" the following:  "for a period of time
  1  8 beginning with the date the candidate files an
  1  9 affidavit of candidacy for the office to the date of
  1 10 the election at which the office is to be filled".
