1 1 Amend Senate File 414 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 1, by inserting after line 18 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . Section 730.5, subsection 9, paragraph
1 5 g, Code 1999, is amended by adding the following new
1 6 subparagraph:
1 7 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH. (4) An employer shall only be
1 8 responsible for the payment of the costs of
1 9 rehabilitation pursuant to subparagraphs (1) through
1 10 (3) if the employee remains employed with the employer
1 11 providing rehabilitation for at least six months
1 12 following the receipt of a confirmed positive alcohol
1 13 test. If an employee does not remain employed for at
1 14 least six months following the receipt of the
1 15 confirmed positive test, the employer, however, shall
1 16 reimburse the employee for one-sixth of the employer's
1 17 share of the costs of rehabilitation for each month
1 18 the employee remains employed with the employer
1 19 following receipt of the positive test."
