  1  1    Amend Senate File 304 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, line 3, by inserting after the figure
  1  3 "7." the following:  "a."
  1  4    #2.  Page 1, by inserting after line 23 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "b.  A period of conditional employment, during
  1  7 which a prospective employee is hired on a conditional
  1  8 basis pursuant to paragraph "a", shall not exceed
  1  9 thirty days in length.  An individual who has been
  1 10 convicted of a felony, a crime against a person,
  1 11 assault, or dependent adult abuse shall not be
  1 12 eligible to be hired on a conditional basis."
