  1  1    Amend Senate File 101 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, lines 18 and 19, by striking the words
  1  3 "The sheriff, department of corrections, or department
  1  4 of human services" and inserting the following:  "The
  1  5 department of corrections".
  1  6    #2.  Page 1, by striking lines 28 through 31 and
  1  7 inserting the following:  "grounds of a correctional
  1  8 institution or institution under the management of the
  1  9 department of corrections."
  1 10    #3.  Page 1, by striking lines 33 through 35 and
  1 11 inserting the following:  "a correctional institution
  1 12 or institution under the management of the department
  1 13 of".
  1 14    #4.  Page 2, by striking lines 3 and 4 and
  1 15 inserting the following:  "confined in a correctional
  1 16 institution".
  1 17    #5.  Page 2, by striking lines 18 through 20 and
  1 18 inserting the following:  "official or officer at a
  1 19 correctional institution or institution under the
  1 20 management".
  1 21    #6.  Page 2, by striking lines 23 through 25 and
  1 22 inserting the following:  "authority of the
  1 23 administrator of any correctional institution or
  1 24 institution under the management".

  1 26 "or facilities".
  1 27    #8.  Page 2, by striking line 31 and inserting the
  1 28 following:
  1 29    "Sec.    .  Section 719.8, Code 1999, is amended to
  1 30 read as follows:
  1 31    719.8  FURNISHING A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE OR
  1 32 INTOXICATING BEVERAGE TO INMATES AT A DETENTION
  1 33 FACILITY.
  1 34    A person not authorized by law who furnishes or
  1 35 knowingly makes available a controlled substance or
  1 36 intoxicating beverage to an inmate at a detention
  1 37 facility or correctional institution, or at an
  1 38 institution under the management of the Iowa
  1 39 department of corrections, or who introduces a
  1 40 controlled substance or intoxicating beverage into the
  1 41 premises of such an institution a facility, commits a
  1 42 class "D" felony."
  1 43    #9.  Title page, line 1, by striking the word
  1 44 "establishing" and inserting the following:  "relating
  1 45 to".
  1 46    #10.  Title page, line 2, by striking the word ",
  1 47 jails,".
