  1  1    Section 1.  1989 Iowa Acts, chapter 135, section 135, is
  1  2 amended to read as follows:
  1  3    SEC. 135.  Chapter 257, Code 2001 and Code Supplement 2001,
  1  4 is repealed effective July 1, 2001 2002.  
  1  5                           EXPLANATION
  1  6    This bill provides for a one-year delay in the repeal date
  1  7 specified in 1989 Iowa Acts, chapter 135, section 135, which
  1  8 established a sunset date of July 1, 2001, for the school
  1  9 finance program.  The bill repeals Code chapter 257, on July
  1 10 1, 2002.
