1 20 A House Resolution congratulating the Iowa State
1 21 Cyclones Women's Basketball Team.
1 22 WHEREAS, the citizens of Iowa are thrilled that in
1 23 Coach Bill Fennelly's fourth season the Iowa State
1 24 Cyclones Women's Basketball Team compiled a 25-8 win-
1 25 loss record; and
1 26 WHEREAS, the Iowa State Cyclones Women's Basketball
1 27 Team won an exciting victory over the number one seed
1 28 in the mideast bracket of the NCAA tournament, the
1 29 University of Connecticut, elevating the team into the
1 30 elite eight of the tournament; and
2 1 WHEREAS, the Iowa State Cyclones Women's Basketball
2 2 Team delighted all fans and all Iowans by placing
2 3 second in the Big Twelve Conference regular season and
2 4 in the 1999 Big Twelve Conference Tournament; NOW
2 5 THEREFORE,
2 6 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
2 7 That Coach Bill Fennelly and the Iowa State Cyclones
2 8 Women's Basketball Team be congratulated on their
2 9 successful season and the honor and excitement they
2 10 brought to the State of Iowa.
