1 1 Section 1. IOWA LOTTERY LICENSEE COMPENSATION STUDY AND
1 2 REPORT. The Iowa lottery board shall review its policy
1 3 regarding the compensation of licensees selling lottery
1 4 products. During its review, the Iowa lottery board shall
1 5 consider compensation options including, but not limited to,
1 6 awarding a licensee a share or percentage of the winnings from
1 7 lottery products sold by the licensee. The Iowa lottery board
1 8 shall prepare a report of its findings and submit the report
1 9 to the general assembly pursuant to section 7A.11, subsection
1 10 2, not later than December 1, 2000.
1 11 EXPLANATION
1 12 This bill provides that the Iowa lottery board shall review
1 13 its policy regarding the compensation of licensees selling
1 14 lottery products. As a part of the review, the board shall
1 15 consider compensation options including, but not limited to,
1 16 awarding a licensee a share or percentage of the winnings from
1 17 lottery products sold by the licensee. The report is to be
1 18 completed and submitted to the general assembly pursuant to
1 19 section 7A.11, subsection 2, not later than December 1, 2000.
