1 1 Section 1. POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION STUDENTS –
1 2 IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS – TASK FORCE. The director of
1 3 public health shall establish a task force to review and
1 4 recommend appropriate immunization requirements for
1 5 postsecondary education students. The task force shall
1 6 include representatives of the Iowa department of public
1 7 health and the department of education, postsecondary
1 8 education students, and others with interest and expertise in
1 9 the areas of public health and education. The task force
1 10 shall submit a report of its findings and recommendations to
1 11 the governor and the general assembly on or before December 1,
1 12 2000.
1 13 EXPLANATION
1 14 This bill directs the director of public health to
1 15 establish a task force to review and recommend appropriate
1 16 immunizations for postsecondary education students. The task
1 17 force membership is to include representatives of the Iowa
1 18 department of public health and the department of education,
1 19 postsecondary education students, and others with interest or
1 20 expertise in the areas of public health or education. The
1 21 task force is required to submit a report of its findings and
1 22 recommendations to the governor and the general assembly by
1 23 December 1, 2000.
