1 1 Section 1. Section 18.8, unnumbered paragraph 1, Code
1 2 1999, is amended to read as follows:
1 3 The director shall provide necessary telecommunications
1 4 cabling, lighting, fuel, and water services for the state
1 5 buildings and grounds located at the seat of government,
1 6 except the buildings and grounds referred to in section
1 7 216B.3, subsection 6. The director shall establish,
1 8 supervise, and maintain a toll-free telephone number to
1 9 provide directory assistance. The directory assistance shall
1 10 provide telephone numbers for all state government offices.
1 11 EXPLANATION
1 12 This bill provides that the director of the department of
1 13 general services shall establish, supervise, and maintain a
1 14 toll-free telephone number to provide directory assistance.
1 15 The directory assistance shall provide telephone numbers for
1 16 all state government offices.
