1 1 Section 1. Section 483A.8, Code 1999, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 5. The commission shall provide, by rule,
1 4 for the issuance of two deer hunting licenses for a regular
1 5 gun season to an applicant if one of the licenses is valid
1 6 only to take an antlerless deer. The rules shall specify the
1 7 number of combination deer hunting licenses which may be
1 8 issued and the zone in which each license is valid.
1 9 EXPLANATION
1 10 This bill authorizes the natural resource commission to
1 11 adopt rules for the issuance of two deer hunting licenses for
1 12 a regular gun season to an applicant if one of the licenses is
1 13 valid only to take an antlerless deer. The rules will specify
1 14 the number of combination licenses which may be issued and the
1 15 zone in which each license is valid.
