  1  1    Amend House File 2570 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, line 7, by inserting after the word
  1  3 "taxation." the following:  "If as part of the
  1  4 improvements to the farm structure the interior is
  1  5 converted to a use other than for purposes of a barn
  1  6 but which maintains, emphasizes, or does not detract
  1  7 from the barn interior, any increase in valuation due
  1  8 to such converted use is also exempt.  However, the
  1  9 exemption for such converted use shall not apply if
  1 10 the barn is used for single or multifamily housing."
