PAG LIN 1 1 Amend Senate File 2245, as amended, passed, and 1 2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows: 1 3 #1. Page 2, by inserting after line 22 the 1 4 following: 1 5 "Sec. . Section 321.236, subsection 1, 1 6 paragraph a, Code 1999, is amended to read as follows: 1 7 a. May be charged and collected upon a simple 1 8 notice of a fine payable to the city clerk or clerk of 1 9 the district court, if authorized by ordinance. The 1 10 fine shall not exceedfiveten dollars except for snow 1 11 route parking violations in which case the fine shall 1 12 not exceed twenty-five dollars. The fine may be 1 13 increased up totentwenty dollars if the parking 1 14 violation is not paid within thirty days of the date 1 15 upon which the violation occurred, if authorized by 1 16 ordinance. Violations of section 321L.4, subsection 1 17 2, may be charged and collected upon a simple notice 1 18 of a one hundred dollar fine payable to the city clerk 1 19 or clerk of the district court, if authorized by 1 20 ordinance. No costs or other charges shall be 1 21 assessed. All fines collected by a city pursuant to 1 22 this paragraph shall be retained by the city and all 1 23 fines collected by a county pursuant to this paragraph 1 24 shall be retained by the county." 1 25 #2. Page 4, by inserting after line 23 the 1 26 following: 1 27 "Sec. . Section 805.8, subsection 2, paragraph 1 28 a, Code Supplement 1999, is amended to read as 1 29 follows: 1 30 a. For parking violations under sections 321.236, 1 31 321.239, 321.358, 321.360, and 321.361, the scheduled 1 32 fineis fiveshall not exceed ten dollars. The 1 33 scheduled fine for a parking violation of section 1 34 321.236 increases in an amount up totentwenty 1 35 dollars, as authorized by ordinance pursuant to 1 36 section 321.236, subsection 1, paragraph "a", if the 1 37 parking violation is not paid within thirty days of 1 38 the date upon which the violation occurred. For 1 39 purposes of calculating the unsecured appearance bond 1 40 required under section 805.6, the scheduled fine shall 1 41 befiveten dollars. However, violations charged by a 1 42 city or county upon simple notice of a fine instead of 1 43 a uniform citation and complaint as permitted by 1 44 section 321.236, subsection 1, paragraph "a", are not 1 45 scheduled violations, and this section shall not apply 1 46 to any offense charged in that manner. For a parking 1 47 violation under section 321.362 or 461A.38 the 1 48 scheduled fine is ten dollars. For a parking 1 49 violation under section 321L.4, subsection 2, the 1 50 scheduled fine is one hundred dollars." 2 1 #3.
