1 1 Amend the amendment, S-5353 to Senate File 2302, as
1 2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
1 3 follows:
1 4 #1. Page 2, by inserting after line 37, the
1 5 following:
1 6 "Sec. . Section 124.212, subsection 5,
1 7 unnumbered paragraph 1, Code 1999, is amended to read
1 8 as follows:
1 9 Ephedrine. Unless specifically excepted in
1 10 paragraph "b" or "c", or listed in another schedule,
1 11 any material, compound, mixture, or preparation which
1 12 contains any quantity of the following substance,
1 13 including its salts, optical isomers, and salts of
1 14 such optical isomers:
1 15 Sec. . Section 124.212, subsection 5, Code
1 16 1999, is amended by adding the following new
1 17 paragraph:
1 18 NEW PARAGRAPH. c. A dietary supplement is also
1 19 excepted from this schedule, if the dietary supplement
1 20 is not otherwise prohibited by any other law and is a
1 21 naturally occurring ephedrine alkaloid or associated
1 22 salts, isomers, salts of isomers, or a combination of
1 23 these substances that are contained in a matrix of
1 24 organic material and do not exceed fifteen percent of
1 25 the total weight of the natural product."
1 26 #2. By renumbering as necessary.
