PAG LIN 1 1 Amend Senate File 2366, as amended, passed, and 1 2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows: 1 3 #1. Page 5, by inserting after line 13, the 1 4 following: 1 5 "Sec. . Section 453A.13, subsection 3, Code 1 6 1999, is amended to read as follows: 1 7 3. a. FEES EXPIRATION. All permits provided 1 8 for in this division shall expire on June 30 of each 1 9 year. A permit shall not be granted or issued until 1 10 the applicant has paid for the period ending June 30 1 11 next, to the department or the city or county granting 1 12 the permit, the fees provided for in this division. 1 13 The annual state permit fee for a distributor, 1 14 cigarette vendor, and wholesaler is one hundred 1 15 dollars when the permit is granted during the months 1 16 of July, August, or September. However, whenever a 1 17 state permit holder operates more than one place of 1 18 business, a duplicate state permit shall be issued for 1 19 each additional place of business on payment of five 1 20 dollars for each duplicate state permit, but refunds 1 21 as provided in this division do not apply to any 1 22 duplicate permit issued. 1 23 b. The fee for retail permits is as follows when 1 24 the permit is granted during the months of July, 1 25 August, or September: 1 26a.(1) In places outside any city, a minimum fee 1 27 of fifty dollars. 1 28b.(2) In cities of less than fifteen thousand 1 29 population, a minimum fee of seventy-five dollars. 1 30c.(3) In cities of fifteen thousand or more 1 31 population, a minimum fee of one hundred dollars. 1 32 c. If any permit is granted during the months of 1 33 October, November, or December, the fee shall be 1 34 three-fourths of theabove maximumschedule; if 1 35 granted during the months of January, February, or 1 36 March, one-half of themaximumschedule, and if 1 37 granted during the months of April, May, or June, one- 1 38 fourth of themaximumschedule. 1 39 d. If a city or county assesses a retail permit 1 40 fee that is greater than the minimum fee specified in 1 41 paragraph "b", the city or county shall retain the fee 1 42 amounts above the minimum to be used for enforcement 1 43 of section 453A.2." 1 44 #2.
