1 7 following:
1 8 "The department shall consult and work with the
1 9 small business development centers in an effort to
1 10 eliminate any duplication of services provided by the
1 11 department and the small business development centers
1 12 and to determine how to deliver services to small
1 13 businesses in the state in the most efficient manner.
1 14 The department, in consultation with the small
1 15 business development centers, shall develop a written
1 16 report identifying and distinguishing the distinct
1 17 services to be provided by the department and the
1 18 small business development centers and recommend
1 19 actions which would eliminate any duplication of
1 20 services. By December 1, 2000, the written report
1 21 shall be submitted to the chairpersons and ranking
1 22 members of the joint appropriations subcommittee on
1 23 economic development.
1 24 For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000, and
1 25 ending June 30, 2001, the department shall allocate
1 26 $100,000 from the moneys appropriated under this
1 27 subsection for the federal procurement office."
