  1  1    Amend House File 2549 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 37, by inserting after line 34 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 262.33, Code 1999, is amended
  1  5 to read as follows:
  1  6    262.33  FIRE AND POLICE PROTECTION CONTRACTS
  1  7 PROHIBITED.
  1  8    The state board of regents shall have power to not
  1  9 enter into contracts with the governing body of any
  1 10 city or other municipal corporation for the fire or
  1 11 police protection from fire of for any property under
  1 12 the control of the board, located in any such
  1 13 municipal corporation or in territory contiguous
  1 14 thereto, upon such terms as may be agreed upon to it."
  1 15    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
