1 2 #1. Page 30, by inserting after line 4 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "y. A commitment that if the competitive electric
1 5 service provider purchases carbon emission credits,
1 6 such provider shall give a preference to purchasing
1 7 such credits from persons in this state engaged in
1 8 farming as defined in section 9H.1.
1 9 z. A commitment that if the competitive electric
1 10 service provider purchases electricity generated by
1 11 another person, that to the extent possible such
1 12 provider shall purchase such electricity from a
1 13 generator who is subject to the renewable energy
1 14 requirements of this chapter and who purchases carbon
1 15 emission credits from persons in this state engaged in
1 16 farming as defined in section 9H.1."
