1 7 " . IOWA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES, RETIREMENT SYSTEM –
1 8 DEFINED CONTRIBUTION PLAN STUDY.
1 9 For expenses related to a study of alternatives for
1 10 establishing a defined contribution option as provided
1 11 in this subsection:

1 13 The Iowa public employees' retirement system
1 14 division shall conduct a study on the alternatives for
1 15 establishing a defined contribution option for members
1 16 of the Iowa public employees' retirement system who
1 17 are elected officials, other state officers and
1 18 employees of the Iowa public employees' retirement
1 19 system. On or before January 1, 2001, the Iowa public
1 20 employees' retirement system division shall file a
1 21 report with the joint appropriations subcommittee on
1 22 administration and regulation, the committees on state
1 23 government, and the public retirement systems
1 24 committee established in section 97D.4.""
