1 1 Amend the amendment, H-8162, to House File 2229, as
1 2 follows:
1 3 #1. By striking page 1, line 6 through page 4,
1 4 line 23, and inserting the following:
1 5 ""Men's Medical Procedure Waiting Period Act".
1 6 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 146A.2 MEN – MEDICAL
1 7 PROCEDURES – WAITING PERIOD.
1 8 Except in the case of a medical emergency, a
1 9 medical procedure shall not be performed on a man in
1 10 this state unless the man consents to the procedure at
1 11 least twenty-four hours prior to the performance of
1 12 the procedure."
1 13 #2. Title page, line 1, by striking the word
1 14 "informed" and inserting the following: "twenty-four
1 15 hour prior".
1 16 #3. Title page, lines 1 and 2, by striking the
1 17 words "an abortion and providing civil remedies and
1 18 criminal penalties" and inserting the following: "a
1 19 medical procedure performed on a man"."
