  1  1    Amend House File 2498 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 4, by inserting after line 27 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  147B.9  STANDARD OF CARE.
  1  5    A person registered pursuant to this chapter to
  1  6 practice as a certified professional midwife or a
  1  7 certified midwife shall be held to the same standard
  1  8 of care as a person licensed to practice medicine and
  1  9 surgery, osteopathy, or osteopathic medicine and
  1 10 surgery."
  1 11    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
