1 1 Amend House File 2522 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 1, by striking lines 17 through 22 and
1 3 inserting the following:
1 4 "1. A person seeking relief from domestic abuse
1 5 under this chapter may use any of the following
1 6 addresses as a mailing address for purposes of filing
1 7 a petition under this chapter, as well as for the
1 8 purpose of obtaining any utility or other service:
1 9 a. The mailing address of a shelter or other
1 10 agency.
1 11 b. A public or private post office box.
1 12 c. Any other mailing address, with the permission
1 13 of the resident of that address.
1 14 2. A person shall report any change of address,
1 15 whether designated according to subsection 1 or
1 16 otherwise, to the clerk of court no more than five
1 17 days after the previous address on record becomes
1 18 invalid.
1 19 3. The file in a domestic abuse case shall be
1 20 sealed by".
1 21 #2. By renumbering as necessary.
