1 3 inserting the following: "representative."
1 4 #2. By striking page 9, line 26, through page 10,
1 5 line 6, and inserting the following:
1 6 "Sec. 100. NEW SECTION. 100B.9 EQUIPMENT.
1 7 Equipment owned by Iowa state university and used
1 8 exclusively to conduct fire service training or
1 9 classes shall transfer on the effective date of this
1 10 Act to the department of public safety. This
1 11 equipment includes breathing apparatus, fire
1 12 suppression gear, mobile equipment, and training
1 13 records."
1 14 #3. Page 16, by striking lines 8 and 9, and
1 15 inserting the following:
1 16 "Sec. 101. Section 43.21, Code 1999, is repealed.
1 17 Sec. 102. Sections 266.40 through 266.46, Code
1 18 1999, are repealed contingent upon cessation of the
1 19 operation of section 103 of this Act.
1 20 Sec. 103. APPLICABILITY. The duties and
1 21 responsibilities of the fire service training bureau
1 22 as provided in section 100B.6 and the duties and
1 23 responsibilities of the administrator of the fire
1 24 service training bureau as provided in section 100B.7
1 25 and other duties of the training bureau and its
1 26 administrator as prescribed by the state fire service
1 27 and emergency response council shall remain with the
1 28 fire service institute located at Iowa state
1 29 university of science and technology until such time
1 30 as the department of public safety has secured
1 31 adequate facilities to carry out such duties and
1 32 responsibilities. Sections 15 and 100 of this Act,
1 33 enacting sections 100B.8 and 100B.9, shall not be
1 34 implemented until this section is no longer
1 35 applicable."
1 36 #4. By renumbering and correcting internal
1 37 references as necessary.
