  1  2    #1.  Page 6, by striking lines 24 and 25 and
  1  3 inserting the following:
  1  4    "This chapter shall not apply to the following:
  1  5    1.  Legal services contracts under chapter 13B.
  1  6    2.  Retention of any attorney, law firm, or other
  1  7 entity legally authorized to practice law for purposes
  1  8 of assistance to the state as a defendant in pending
  1  9 or proposed litigation."
  1 10    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
