  1  1    Amend House File 2437 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, line 16, by inserting after word
  1  3 "records." the following:  "However, a postsecondary
  1  4 education institution shall not provide information
  1  5 regarding a violation of a federal, state, or local
  1  6 law, or institutional rule or policy governing the use
  1  7 or possession of alcohol or a controlled substance to
  1  8 the parent or guardian of a student who is eighteen
  1  9 years of age or older unless the institution receives
  1 10 written authorization, on forms provided to the
  1 11 parent, guardian, or student by the institution upon
  1 12 request, signed by the parent or guardian and the
  1 13 student."
