  1  1    Amend Senate File 476, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by striking lines 1 through 32 and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "Section 1.  Section 12.34, subsection 1, Code
  1  6 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1  7    1.  The treasurer of state may invest up to the
  1  8 lesser of sixty-eight eighty-eight million dollars or
  1  9 ten percent of the balance of the state pooled money
  1 10 fund in certificates of deposit in eligible lending
  1 11 institutions pursuant to this division.  Of the moneys
  1 12 invested by the treasurer of state, twenty million
  1 13 dollars shall be reserved for purposes of section
  1 14 12.42 only.
  1 15    Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  12.42  AIR TRANSPORTATION
  1 16 INFRASTRUCTURE.
  1 17    1.  The treasurer of state shall adopt rules to
  1 18 implement an air transportation infrastructure linked
  1 19 investments program to increase the availability of
  1 20 lower cost funds for air transportation expansion and
  1 21 infrastructure needs in the state.
  1 22    2.  In order to be an eligible borrower, all of the
  1 23 following criteria must be met:"
  1 24    #2.  Page 1, line 33, by striking the word
  1 25 "applicant" and inserting the following:  "borrower".
  1 26    #3.  By striking page 1, line 35, through page 2,
  1 27 line 1.
  1 28    #4.  Page 2, line 2, by striking the words "c.  The
  1 29 applicant" and inserting the following:  "b.  The
  1 30 borrower".
  1 31    #5.  Page 2, line 4, by striking the words "d.
  1 32 The" and inserting the following:  "c.  The".
  1 33    #6.  Page 2, by striking lines 6 through 25 and
  1 34 inserting the following:
  1 35    "3.  During the lifetime of this loan program, the
  1 36 maximum amount of assistance that an eligible borrower
  1 37 or a business may receive through this loan program
  1 38 shall be twenty million dollars.
  1 39    Sec.    .  If House File 779 is enacted and if
  1 40 House File 779 amends section 12.34, subsection 1,
  1 41 Code 1999, by changing the maximum amount the
  1 42 treasurer of state may invest from sixty-eight million
  1 43 dollars to a different amount, the amended amount in
  1 44 section 12.34, subsection 1, Code 1999, as amended by
  1 45 this Act, shall not prevail, but rather the amended
  1 46 amount in section 12.34, subsection 1, Code 1999, as
  1 47 amended by House File 779, shall be increased by
  1 48 twenty million dollars."
  1 49    #7.  Title page, line 2, by striking the words "and
  1 50 making an appropriation".
