  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-1635, to Senate File 449, as
  1  2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 2, by inserting after line 48 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "   .  The center for new Iowans and workforce
  1  7 development centers established under chapter 84B
  1  8 shall not refer a legal immigrant or foreign national
  1  9 to an employer that employs more than one hundred
  1 10 employees when more than ten percent of those
  1 11 employees are not citizens of the United States unless
  1 12 the employer provides or contracts for services to
  1 13 develop employee proficiency in the English language."
  1 14    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
