  1  1    Amend House File 766 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, line 9, by inserting after the word
  1  3 "certification" the following:  "or who is certified
  1  4 by the national board for certified counselors as a
  1  5 nationally certified school counselor".
  1  6    #2.  Page 1, line 10, by inserting after the word
  1  7 "teacher" the following:  "or as a school counselor".
  1  8    #3.  Page 1, line 12, by inserting before the word
  1  9 "If" the following:  "(1)".
  1 10    #4.  Page 1, by inserting after line 25 the
  1 11 following:
  1 12    "(2)  If a teacher applies to the national board
  1 13 for certified counselors and pays the application and
  1 14 examination fees in order to become a nationally
  1 15 certified school counselor, a one-time reimbursement
  1 16 award in the amount of the application and examination
  1 17 fees paid by the teacher.  The teacher shall apply to
  1 18 the department of education within one year of
  1 19 registration, submitting to the department any
  1 20 documentation the department requires."
  1 21    #5.  Page 1, line 28, by inserting before the word
  1 22 "an" the following:  "or applies to the national board
  1 23 for certified counselors and becomes a nationally
  1 24 certified school counselor by June 30, 2002,".
  1 25    #6.  Page 1, line 31, by inserting after the word
  1 26 "standards" the following:  "or the national board for
  1 27 certified counselors as a nationally certified school
  1 28 counselor".
  1 29    #7.  By renumbering as necessary.
