  1  1    Amend House File 762 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 22, line 34, by striking the word
  1  3 "individual" and inserting the following:
  1  4 "individual".
  1  5    #2.  Page 23, line 1, by striking the words "at the
  1  6 clerk's office except for" and inserting the
  1  7 following:  "at the clerk's office except for".
  1  8    #3.  Page 23, by striking lines 7 through 15 and
  1  9 inserting the following:  "information system.
  1 10 Notwithstanding any other provision in this section or
  1 11 chapter 22, the judicial branch shall be the provider
  1 12 of public electronic access to the clerk's records of
  1 13 convictions and forfeitures of bail through the Iowa
  1 14 court information system and shall, if all such
  1 15 records are provided monthly to a vendor, the judicial
  1 16 branch shall, effective retroactively to July 1, 1997,
  1 17 collect a fee from such vendor which is the greater of
  1 18 three thousand dollars per month or the actual direct
  1 19 cost of providing the records."
