  1  1    Amend House File 761, as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 24, line 30, by inserting after the word
  1  3 "earlier." the following:  "The department of human
  1  4 services shall pursue every available option to secure
  1  5 federal or other funding that may be used to make
  1  6 available additional home child care consultants to
  1  7 assist in the statewide implementation of section
  1  8 237A.3A, as amended by this Act.  If the department is
  1  9 able to secure additional funding for this purpose,
  1 10 the number of full-time equivalent positions
  1 11 authorized for the department in the fiscal year
  1 12 beginning July 1, 1999, is increased accordingly."
