  1  2    #1.  Page 5, by striking line 32 and inserting the

  1  5    #2.  Page 12, by inserting after line 13 the
  1  6 following:
  1  7    "e.  For a pilot project for diversion from the
  1  8 family investment program of persons adjudicated to
  1  9 receive child welfare services who become 18 years of
  1 10 age and cannot return to the parents' home, in
  1 11 accordance with this paragraph:  
  1 12 .................................................. $    100,000
  1 13    The pilot project shall be a cooperative effort
  1 14 involving a local office of the department and a local
  1 15 service provider that is the recipient of a grant and
  1 16 that provides local, private matching funds for the
  1 17 project.  Under the pilot project, the local service
  1 18 provider shall provide housing and services to persons
  1 19 participating in the project, and the local sources of
  1 20 matching funds shall cover some of these expenses as
  1 21 well as providing employment opportunities and other
  1 22 assistance.  The department shall provide funding for
  1 23 staff expenses.  The persons participating in the
  1 24 project shall provide payment for housing and other
  1 25 services, based upon ability to pay.  A goal of the
  1 26 pilot project is for participants to transition out of
  1 27 the pilot project within a year."
