  1  1    Amend House File 651 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 11, by striking lines 27 through 31 and
  1  3 inserting the following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  IMPLEMENTS OF HUSBANDRY STUDY.  The
  1  5 state department of transportation shall, in
  1  6 consultation with manufacturers and distributors of
  1  7 implements of husbandry, agricultural associations,
  1  8 and the Iowa state association of counties, study
  1  9 tracked vehicles, the use of flotation tires, and the
  1 10 fine and legal axle weight schedules applicable to
  1 11 grain carts, tank wagons, and fence-line feeders
  1 12 operated on public roadways.  The department shall
  1 13 report its findings and recommendations to the general
  1 14 assembly by January 1, 2000."
  1 15    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
