  Flynn, and Gettings, on March 24, 1998, to amendment S-5335.

  LEAVE OF ABSENCE

  Leave of absence was granted as follows:

  Senator Jensen for the remainder of the day, on request of Senator Borlaug.

  BUSINESS PENDING

  House File 2164

  The Senate resumed consideration of House File 2164, a bill for an
  act relating to local community and economic development planning
  assistance and the community builder program, and amendment S-
  5352 to amendment S-5335.

  Senator Fraise moved the adoption of amendment S-5352.

  Amendment S-5352 lost by a voice vote.

  Senator Fraise asked and received unanimous consent that action
  on amendment S-5335 and House File 2164 be deferred.

  BUSINESS PENDING

  House File 2528

  The Senate resumed consideration of House File 2528, a bill for an
  act establishing a graduated driver's license for young drivers,
  making penalties applicable, creating an interim study committee,
  and including an applicability provision and an effective date,
  previously deferred.

  Senator Connolly offered amendment S-5453, filed by him from
  the floor to pages 1, 7, and 9 of the bill and moved its adoption.

  Amendment S-5453 was adopted by a voice vote.
