  IMMEDIATELY MESSAGED

  Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent that
  Senate Files 2317, 2311, and 2200 be immediately messaged to
  the House.

  CONSIDERATION OF BILL

  Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent to take up
  for consideration Senate File 2380.

  Senate File 2380

  On motion of Senator Flynn, Senate File 2380, a bill for an act
  relating to the election of a local exchange carrier to be price-
  regulated, was taken up for consideration.

  Senator Douglas offered amendment S-5250 filed by Senators
  Douglas, et al., on March 16, 1998, to pages 3 and 4 of the bill.

  Senator Dvorsky asked and received unanimous consent that
  action on amendment S-5250 and Senate File 2380 be deferred.

  CONSIDERATION OF BILL
  (Ways and Means Calendar)

  Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent to take up
  for consideration Senate File 2364.

  Senate File 2364

  On motion of Senator Douglas, Senate File 2364, a bill for an act
  relating to the sales, services, and use taxes exemption for the sales of
  food and beverages for human consumption by certain organizations,
  providing refunds, and including effective and retroactive
  applicability date provisions, was taken up for consideration.

  Senator Douglas moved that the bill be read the last time now and
  placed upon its passage, which motion prevailed by a voice vote, and
  the bill was read the last time.
